Where are you? Know where you are on the neck of the guitar. It sounds catchy, but it is practical.
Most guitarists learn scales with a root position on the fifth or sixth string, but all the scales can be played comfortably in various positions on the neck. This video lesson, shows how to use the pentatonic blues scale in the 3rd and 4th inversions.
