This week, “Guitar Guy” Tim is giving Live2Play Network readers his picks for the 10 Best Android apps for musicians. If you’re just joining the series, you may want to start at the beginning by clicking here.
I can’t forget Gibson. Afterall, they are the greatest guitar manufacturer in the world. If I were to overlook them, I’m afraid my Les Paul would start going out of tune on me at the most inappropriate times. Instant karma’s gonna get you…
L&M Guitar (Free) – This would be Gibson’s official Android app, and it’s a pretty cool one. It includes a tuner (not as good as gStrings, just my opinion), metronome, chord library and lessons that are go from beginner to advanced players. For the most part, the lessons are all available on YouTube, but the app organizes them and makes them incredibly accessible.
This app does a great job of consolidating all the basic tools a guitar would want or need on the go. Considering that the app is free, this is a must for every guitarist with an awesome Android phone or tablet.
“Guitar Guy” Tim happens to be Live2PlayNetwork’s resident Google fanboy, and he loves to hassle all of the IOS users. This article was typed on a Chromebook in Google Drive, his phone is a Nexus 4, and he’s dying to replace his Kindle Fire with a Nexus 7.2.
