PRS Guitars,  is kicking off their seventh season as the exclusive guitar and amplifier of the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA). The season-long partnership is part of a multi-year agreement and includes fully-functioning Trophy Guitars for race winners.

PRS also will debut this new television spot during the upcoming Rolex 24 At Daytona to help drive home the message that PRS gear is every bit as precisely engineered and manufactured as today’s top race cars.

“We are thrilled to again be working with IMSA for the 2016 season as our partnership gives us the stage to connect the worlds of sports car racing and music to reach a broader audience,” said PRS President and motor sports driver, Jack Higginbotham. “The PRS IMSA SE Trophy Guitar will be featured on site at the IMSA store and online, allowing consumers to experience and own a Trophy Guitar of their very own, which we feel is a very cool experience for fans.”

The new 2016 PRS IMSA Trophy Guitars, which are based upon the company’s popular SE Custom 24 model, features the IMSA logo accented with racing stripes on a striking Cherry Red finish.  Played by internationally touring artists, gigging musicians, and aspiring players, the SE Custom 24 features a maple top, mahogany back, wide thin maple neck, rosewood fretboard with bird inlays, and a PRS-designed tremolo bridge. The SE HFS and SE Vintage Bass pickups with volume, push-pull tone controls and a three-way pickup selector provide a bevy of versatile sounds making it a perfect workhorse guitar.

PRS SE Custom 24 IMSA Trophy Guitars are exclusively made for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and will be awarded to each overall winning team entrant for each WeatherTech Championship race. Winning entrants in each class of Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup races also will receive Trophy Guitars. A limited number of replica trophy guitars will be available for IMSA fans to purchase through the store.
