Like any list, there will be the songs that make it and the ones that don’t. According to Discover Boating, the U.S. recreational boating industry’s non-profit awareness program, 195,000 Facebook fans where asked “What music best captures the fun and joy of boating?” Here’s the top 10 nautical-themed songs for an on-the-water soundtrack (or your set list for a boat house bash) beginning with Jimmy Buffett’s  “A Pirate Looks at 40.”

More than 1,500 of Discover Boating’s Facebook friends voted for their favorite boating song, ranked in order of votes received:
