SAPPA is a music and arts preparatory program that delivers a musical experience for youngsters in under-served communities through workshops, clinics in partnership with tutorial, mentoring and instructional programs. As you might expect, the program serves many students who cannot afford instruments and schools with limited resources. Possibly you can help. Please check your closets and garages for any musical instruments that are no longer being used. SAPPA’s instrument loan program is based not only on need, but also certain commitments. The student agrees to practice daily, follow the rules of their music program, maintain and take care of their instrument at all times and listen to and appreciate all types of music. The parent/guardian agrees to support the student in every way possible, including providing space and time for daily practice and checking assignments. if you have an instrument thatcan be donated to SAPPa’s loan program, please call: 626-574-5040 or 626-398-0191 and we will make arrangements to pick up your donation. If you are in the SoCal area, instruments can be dropped off at: Jackie Robinson Park, 1081 N. Fair Oaks, Pasadena 91103, 626-744-7330
