Liz Longley (Philadelphia, PA, USA) won the top prize at Sixth annual IAMA (International Acoustic Music Awards). The singer-songwriter also won first prize in the Folk category. Liz is a Berklee College of Music student and aspring singer-songwriter, she was also awarded the highest honor for songwriting, the Scott Benson Scholarship.  In addition to regularly sharing the stage with Livingston Taylor, Liz has opened for acclaimed acts such as Colin Hay, Nanci Griffith, Kenny Rankin and Jonathan Edwards. Other winners include virtuoso guitarist El McMeen, Alathea, Michael Brandmeier, Meghan Trainor, Henhouse Prowlers, etc. Artists are judged based on music performance, music production, artistry and songwriting. Over 9,000 entries were received for the event.
