Ok. So you guys know I am a huge supporter of Beato Bags and you also know I recently had a not so good experience with a similar manufacturer whom I will not mention.
In a recent blog I told you about my very positive experience with Beato and more directly, it’s owner, Fred Beato. (You can view my prior blog here: http://l2pnet.com/customer-service-04092013.)
Anyway, so today I receive a box from Beato and it happens to be my new bass drum bag for my custom 24″ kick drum.
I open it up and what do I find? A wonderful and high quality bag.
Wow. I am really impressed with the quality of the material, the bag’s appearance, and the way it fits my custom drum.
But, it gets better. About 8:00 p.m. (EST) my phone rings and it’s a California number. Who is it but Fred Beato himself! I answered and Fred wanted to know if I received my bag. First, I was stunned that Fred even remembered my order amongst the other thousands that Beato probably shipped and second, isn’t that like Lee Iacocca calling to see how your Chrysler drove home from the showroom? I thought the first round of customer service was something but I think Fred outdid himself with this one. But it gets better.
After thanking Fred for his follow up and seriously, providing me with a killer bag, I learn that Fred has a new product coming out–brand new. It is a floor covering for drummers.
As a drummer myself we all know that “the carpet” is a personal item to a drummer and frankly an extension of our “domain.”
Unfortunately, “the carpet” encounters many unwelcome guests like spilled drinks (thanks Phil), sand, rain and moisture, wood flakes from our sticks, and other assortments of impurities. So, for many of us we treasure “the carpet” and try to keep it as clean and neat as possible. That’s why I was interested when Fred told me about a video he just did about this floor covering. You can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmEawcs9Pj4
After Fred explained this new product I immediately ordered one. As a drummer I can tell this will be a fabulous product and why not? It’s coming from a hands on manufacturer who cares about his customers, who makes great quality products, and, someone who knows about performing and what the working musician needs to do his or her job.
As Fred explained, it’s designed to alleviate all those annoying traits that come with “the carpet” like 1) where is it?; 2) what’s that smell?; and, 3) are my drums sliding or did I drink too much? This new Beato floor covering looks awesome and I will get back to you guys when I receive it. In the meantime, please check out Beato’s new floor covering. This is gonna be spot on for us drummers.
