Yamaha has introduced several entry-level and mid-range kits to its popular DTX line at Musikmesse.??
Based on the DTX900 series, The DTX500K, DTX520K, DTX540K, DTX700K and DTX750K models bring Yamaha’s acclaimed Textured Cellular Silicon technology to the mid-range electronic drum market.??The new DTX700 module provides the DTX700K and DTX750K kits with a whole host of new capabilities and features, including over 1200 high quality acoustic drum, cymbal, and percussion voices, as well as multi layered samples of Yamaha’s acoustic drums and a variety of sounds borrowed from the Motif XF synthesizer.??
As well as a wide variety of built-in preset kits, the DTX700 also allows the user to create bespoke and custom kits using the onboard flash memory, where up to 64MB of new sounds can be imported and stored directly into the module via the USB device port. ??The DTX750K features a complete set of Three- Zone Textured Cellular Silicone pads, which deliver intricate dynamic control and feel for players. They are also the quietest pads ever developed. A newly designed RS700 rack is used to mount the drum and cymbal pads and the DTX700K has been designed on a smaller scale using the more compact RS500 rack system.
