NAMM, the trade association of the international music products industry, reports that there were 85,799 registrants for the 2009 NAMM show held in Anaheim, CA (1/15-18), That number represents three percent decrease from 2008.

NAMM also said that there were 1,505 exhibitors at this year's show, a two percent decrease from last year. Borrowing from The Beatles, this year's show theme of "Come Together," offered attendees the opportunity to network with industry peers, track the latest business and marketing tactics and trends, and make the essential business deals for the year ahead. NAMM President and CEO, Joe Lamond, summed it all by saying "Our members once again demonstrated their determination and persistence as the best and brightest from around the world gathered to experience four days of new products, NAMM University courses, networking and great live music."

Among the many artist appearances and performances were Yamaha artist Alicia Keys, Brian Wilson, and Billy Bob Thornton & the Boxmasters. For additional show photos and videos, go to The Namm Show. For a comprehensive look at the all the new products, check out the L2P Gear and New Gear sections.
